Sweet Magnolias is one of Netflix’s best internal series, so the confirmation that we will return to Serenity for a third season is not a surprise. When will filming start for season 3 of Sweet Magnolias and when will it release?
The filming in the new third season will once again take place in Covington and Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. At the beginning of June 2022, the team behind the program was looking for new locations. In an Instagram post, Sheryl Anderson declared: “Excited to be conspiring and planning season 3, with friends, old and new!”
On July 1, the program star, Joanna García Swisher, published on Instagram revealing that she had once again dyed her to repeat her role in the next third season, once again suggesting that the filming is imminent. The filming began in July 2022, with the official Sweet Magnolias page publishing that they had begun to film on July 18, 2022. Its publication included the following title:

Outside the visualization statistics, we can see how the program is working on Google Trends and the IMDB movie. IMDB Movieter tracks the incoming traffic to the respective shows and films pages. It allows you to have a good idea of how popular programs are compared with other networks. Season 1 of the program reached its maximum point in #4 in its launch week, while the second season only managed to reach #15. Google Trends echoes that the second season did not coincide with the same heights as season 1. It also shows a much more pronounced fall compared to the first season.
What to expect from Sweet Magnolias season 3
Season 2 ends with many cliffs, continuing the tradition of season 1.
Season 2 ended with Maddie, Helen and Dana usually crying the death of Miss Frances (Cindy Karar). After her funeral, we see an unexpected event with a proposal and a confrontation in the restaurant, which leads to lime being escorted in the fists. We also know that someone has returned after the main trio saw images of tires that were cut in the Sullivan delivery truck.
Helen (played by Heather Headley) had a difficult trip in season 2 with several traumatic events, but the season ended with the proposed by Ryan. Season 3 will probably begin with the decision she makes.
