French Murder Cracked 36 Years After Crime

Grenoble, France: French prosecutors said Thursday that they had solved a cold case of 36 years after demanding a man with the murder of a young woman who disappeared in a small town in Alpine in the 1980s.
Marie-Terese Bonfanti, a mother of two children aged 25 years, disappeared while delivering newspapers in Pontcharra, northeast of Grenble, and her body was never found.
Local prosecutor Eric Vaillant said that a man had been charged with his murder and had “claimed to have killed him” when he was detained.
He was considered a suspect when disappearing because of his cruel character.The prosecutor believes that the murder is due to “disputes”, rather than sexual motivation.The case was reopened in 2020 thanks to the campaign from the family of Marie-Terese Bonfanti and her husband.
