Fast recap before we dive into the future of the series. Virgin River is a drama series that adapted the Robyn Carr novel series. It focuses on Mel, a young midwife and nurse practitioner who moved from a big city to a small rural city in North California.Throughout three seasons, we have seen Mel introduced with a myriad of different people throughout the city that put its roots. Of course, not all of them go with many dramas.
Season 1 of Virgin River was first released on Netflix throughout the road in December 2019 with the next release in November 2020 and the most recently released season 3 in July 2021. Now, the show will return again in July with a release July 2022.

On September 20, Netflix confirmed to the Usatoday that season 4 will advance and not only that, the show will return for season 5 on Netflix as well. Multi-season orders rarely occur in Netflix but are proof of the popularity of this series.Of course, we have reported about the 4th season of the Virgin River long before the official update came. During the last few seasons, we often hear that the shooting date is scheduled before the update and it is once again a case for season 4.

The best of all, Colin announced that season 4 would be longer than the previous season. Episode count for season 4 of Virgin River has been expanded to 12 episodes of 10.Earlier in 2021, we reported that several production lists registered the event will return for the fourth season. Better, we later got word that filming in season 4 will begin in the late July 2021.
Thanks to the post from Watershed Grill on Instagram, we also know that the filmmaking took place there between 17 and 18 August 2021 (and several times afterwards).The Watershed Grill functions as a shooting location for Jack’s Bar in Virgin River.
An additional film making occurred in the watershed grill between August 30 and September 2.
