BlackBerry has bit dust in the smartphone market and loses the charm because even the fans are devoted to the current iPhone or Android handset. But still, because some people might use BlackBerry phones, Canadian companies have reaffirmed that the device will no longer be able to support heritage services through cellular connectivity and Wi-Fi starting next week. The company initially announced the displacement in September last year but expanded its services as “thank you expressions” to customers and partners loyal. This update mainly does not apply to BlackBerry phones based on the Android operating system.

On January 4, BlackBerry 7.1 OS and Previous devices, BlackBerry 10 Software, BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 and the previous version, will no longer be able to “function properly,” said the company in the latest website.

This means that there will be no guarantee that BlackBerry phones on cellular connectivity or Wi-Fi will be able to allow data access, make phone calls, send text messages, and even 911 emergency functionality.

Not surprisingly because BlackBerry lost land in early 2010.

Waterloo company, Ontario-Markistered tried hard to get the attraction again. In 2013, he brought BlackBerry 10 instead of OS BlackBerry Aging to attract Android and iOS users. The company also finally moved to Android in 2015 and brought BlackBerry Priv as a new slider cellphone to take the flagships of Apple and Samsung. However, all that did not help it succeeded.

In 2016, BlackBerry finally brought licensing partners including TCL communication for the global market and OPTIEMUS Infracom in India to maintain its brand name with third-party devices. License Partners introduce models including BlackBerry KeyOne and Key2.

However, TCL in February 2020 announced that it would no longer produce BlackBerry phones. Other brand license holders also maintain silence since October 2018 – after the launch of the Blackberry Key2 Le who came as the last cellphone brought under the brand.

Startup based in Texas in 2020 teases to launch a 5G Blackberry cellphone in 2021. The model has not yet appeared.

The departure of heritage services from BlackBerry phones does not mean that the BlackBerry brand is dead at all. The company is currently busy developing software and security services for various companies and governments throughout the world.
