In a first, Foxconn to ship iPhone 14 from India almost simultaneously with China: Report

In what might be the first, Titan Apple can send the latest iPhone version from India almost simultaneously with China. Until now Apple iPhone 13 which is a company’s mainstay product is being produced by Apple Foxconn’s contract manufacturing partners in a facility, near Chennai. However, the leading securities analyst, Ming Chi Kuo, has tweeted that Foxconn can immediately start sending the latest version of the iPhone from India together with China simultaneously.

He tweeted, “My latest survey shows the iPhone Foxconn production site in India will send 6.1” iPhone 14 new almost simultaneously with China for the first time at 2H22 (India to a quarter or more behind). “In another tweet issued by Kuo, he tweeted, “In the short term, the capacity/delivery of Indian iPhone still has a large enough gap with China, but this is an important milestone for Apple in building a non-Chinese iPhone production site.”

He also stated that Apple views India as a driver of the next major growth for the company and tweeted, “This implies that Apple is trying to reduce the geopolitical impact on supply and see the Indian market as a driver of the next major growth.” Apple started producing an iPhone in India in 2017 with the iPhone SE. Currently producing some of the most sophisticated iPhones in this country including the iPhone 11, iPhone 12, and iPhone 13.

The mainstay iPhone 13 packs a sophisticated 5G experience, and offers super fast performance and power efficiency with A15 bionic chip, longer battery life, and flat design with high durability. IPhone 13 is available for customers in India simultaneously with the US, among other markets – the first for this country.

Apple has a long history in India, which began more than 20 years ago. Apple launched an online store in September 2020, and will advance its commitment to the country with the upcoming Apple Store launch.

The iPhone maker told the supplier that China had begun to uphold the old rules that the parts and components made by Taiwan must be labeled as made in “Taiwan, China” or “Taipei China”, the report added, quoting sources that are familiar with this problem.
