It seems that just yesterday that the first android 13 developer arrived online. Now we have a few weeks with a stable building, it’s time to start waiting for what will happen next from Google. Although we know that the Beta Android 13 program will continue for some time now, we finally get some specifics about what will happen with this program – along with instructions when Android 14 may be ready for examiners. As seen by 9to5google, the Android beta program page is updated to enter more details about the upcoming release, supported devices, and more. There are not many concrete data that must be canceled from here, especially because it involves Android 14, but it gives some release windows that must attract anyone who likes to install the initial update.

First, the schedule for the release of the Android 13 quarterly platform begins in September with QPR Beta 1. This news is not fresh – we have been known for two weeks now that Google intends to start testing the next feature right when the leaves begin to change. It is not clear what QPR1 will contain, even if the time is right, hoping to see a stable version in December. We already know that there will be no Android 13L situation this year, but that does not mean Google does not change its QPR update program. Google now says it will switch to Android 14 Beta around March 2023, suggesting that our first view that is not preview will arrive in April. Hope only two beta QPR next year than the three we saw in 2022.

Some changes also come to the Android Beta Program as a whole. Google now says anyone who runs the developer before the first android beta 14 arrives must switch to a stable release before registering in the program. However, in another FAQ section, Google said a user might have difficulty joining the beta program if their developers do not match the platform version they are trying to join. This seems to be in conflict with each other – it seems you can join the beta program while you run a suitable developer preview, while other FAQ sections specifically record you must be in the public build to join.
Finally, Google has deleted a list of compatible devices from the site. Instead, you must rely on a cellphone that is connected to your account to see what is supported and what is not. As for when the developer starts, usually a few months before the beta period. If the first beta Android 14 is on the track for April, look for previews from January or February.
