NASA again postponed the last wet dress training from the 1-month Artemis mission test to April 12, said US space agency official.Wet dress exercises are an opportunity to improve the countdown procedure and validate critical models and software interfaces. The test, previously scheduled for April 1-3, was stopped before tanking because of the loss of the ability to suppress the cellular launcher using two fans.

Agency, in a statement, said he was planning to continue with the modified wet dress training that “mainly focuses on the core tanking stage, and a minimum propellant operation at the temporary cryogenic propulsion stage (ICPS) with a soil system in Kennedy”.

“Because of the changes in the loading procedure needed for the modified test, the testing of wet dresses is scheduled to be continued with a call to the station on Tuesday, April 12 and Tanking on Thursday, April 14.”Engineers have identified a helium inspection valve that does not work as expected, requiring this change to ensure the safety of flight hardware. Helium is used for several different operations, including cleaning machines, cleaning lines, before loading propellan during tanking and drying propellant.

Valve Check is a type of valve that allows liquids or gases to flow in a certain direction and prevent backflow. Valve Helium Examination is about three inches and prevents helium from flowing back from the rocket.Officials said that the modified test would enable engineers to achieve important testing goals to launch success.

The rocket room launch system and Orion spacecraft will return to the vehicle assembly building (VAB) after the modified test. The engineer will evaluate the valve and replace it if needed. The team confidently replaced the valve once again into the VAB.
